Generally Google logos on your home page keep changing according to the festival to take place, and this time was no exception to design a logo for the Earth Day.

Something I admire Google for is for having the vision to improve the world. For example build the largest solar farm in the world and on the roof of their offices also have thousands of solar panels.

The calculation of the carbon footprint we leave on the planet from our daily habits is a great first step in making some green changes in our lives. It is very useful to know what must change before making any changes. With this in mind, Redefining Progress has updated its carbon footprint calculator for more comprehensive and easier to use.

We recommend using the calculator of Earth Day to find out whether you have a very small footprint (or larger), but variety is the spice of life, and it is important to note the maximum number of factors in the calculating something as important as your entire environmental footprint.

It is important to know what the environmental impact you’re creating with your carbon footprint so as to contribute to efforts being made towards saving our planet.

I’ve always liked tree houses, and has been a dream since childhood frustrated because I never had one. That’s why seeing this “cottage” of the tree I decided to share it with you.

It measures 550 square meters and has a value of $ 7 million.

Actively participate in Earth Day not attend a mega march or do anything spectacular. Just small changes we can make in our home or work to be active participants in Earth Day.

Here are some tips we can implement this day and from there make them part of your daily life.

* When using your dishwasher, setting it to save energy. If you do not have this option is dried outdoors for this day.

* Wash clothes without hot water.

* Bathe with the thermostat on your heater at half what you normally use. It sounds a bit difficult this point but it’s for a good cause.

* This is a good day to change the bulbs in your home by saving energy. Besides all save money for a lifetime.

* Walk, bike, ride requests or use public transportation to get to your destination.
The Day the Earth belongs to everyone and is everyone’s responsibility to put their two cents.

Each local celebration of Earth Day will help your overall goal: the care of our planet. Organizations, attitudes and actions that we do throughout the year are those that benefit people and the planet. In Earth Day and there are some things that bring solutions to the celebration.

The centerpiece of Earth Day is the March Equinox. That is the moment when spring begins in the northern hemisphere and autumn in the southern hemisphere. At that time the Peace Bell will ring at the United Nations – signaling a global minute of silence for prayer or reflection, a time for awareness that we are one human family, a sincere way of thinking and acting as trustees Earth.

On a smaller scale a midsize companies-and-organizations/”target=”_self”title=”company” >company with 10 thousand personal computers spends approximately $ 165 thousand dollars a year in electricity costs because of the computers that are left on overnight, and contribute 1.381 tonnes of harmful carbon into the atmosphere.
For every 10,000 computers that are switched off during the night would be like taking out of circulation to 2.58 million cars.

Give a break to our computers this April 22, putting our bit to promote and celebrate the Day of the Planet.

Buy a car that uses less fuel, better than a hybrid car.

Take it easy on the throttle, that significantly reduces the gas mileage.

Rounds. Make the car round and share with other people save time, money and energy, of course pollute far less.

Keep your car tires inflated to the correct level

Do not keep the engine running for more than a minute if you’re not moving in the car.

Check the level of your tires and auto filters once a month.

Turn off your computer, photocopiers and printers when not in use. The monitors spend a lot of energy; turn it off when not in use, even if they shut the whole computer. Use the computer in “sleep mode” reduces energy use by 60-70%.

Close the windows. If no air conditioning or heat you use will escape through the window. To seal windows is an easy, very cheap material you can find at hardware stores.

Recursively clean air conditioner filters.

Switch to fluorescent light. Energy saving. If everyone is the United States to change a light bulb for one regular fluorescent would save as much energy as a full year of production of nuclear energy.

Choose renewable energy. Use wind or solar energy to supply your consumption.

Use energy saving devices. Are somewhat more expensive but in the long term benefits are much greater.
